The mind behind The Muses is Sarah Coffey, a writer obsessed with the magic of intentional language, and an unwavering belief in the power of writing that speaks with a true soul.

Following a long and storied career at creative agencies such as The Tenth Man, The Public House and M&C Saatchi, in September 2024 she summoned the divine to take the leap into the unknown. The unknown has become The Muses, a narrative consultancy business that works with those who value language and character.

Sarah is endlessly inspired by literature, music, film, mythology, theatre, history, art, psychology and a revolving door of ever-changing podcasts, and brings these disparate influences to the writing desk. Combining these influences with her rich and varied experience means she can write the absolute hell out of most things that come her way.

For brands, that means film scripts, radio scripts, websites, articles, short and long-form series, event activations, books (more books please).

For production, that means narrative, film scripts, audio and podcasts (calling all documentary makers, the more mythological the better).

For agencies, moonlighting as a creative with a copy specialism is definitely within this dreamily moonlit wheelhouse.

For bespoke and as yet undefined projects, the door to the divine is always open - the more left of centre the better, so let’s hear it. After all, The Muses are excellent listeners… so turn down the lights, strike the match….
