BOUNCE is an annual design festival held in Dublin that brings together the great, the good and the graphic to tease out design’s role in the future of our country, our world and humanity.

So when founder Danielle approached me to write an article that would summarise the high point of the 2025 event, a panel called ‘Human Purpose, Human Flourishing’, it was an invitation to brandish one of my favourite lights. Behold, the art of the beautiful question.

The panel brought together key leaders and futurists from across the design discipline. With such a deep well of knowledge, passion and downright enlightenment, my job was to bring it all together and layer on the BOUNCE point of view, adding to the narrative and not a mere rehash in bullet points what was said by the on-stage oracles. AI’s relatively good at that, and to be quite honest, that’s boring.
